Very Very Soon I shall have a new blog child.
I am in the process of brain storming right now a blog that will the combination of my two favorite past times: Art and Cooking. And I am very excited about it. The blog will feature all kinds of fun things like recipes, good local restaurants, Asian market food finds, articles about chefs, cooking related comics and food related art.
In the past couple of years, my love of cooking has been growing and my skills in the kitchen have been gaining strength. I think ifs finally time to combine my two talents and start working toward a future and maybe career where I can use these two skills together. This blog will be the first step to that and should help me boost my personal art like outside of work.
So keep an eye out for it!

Holiday Bazaar and Old Work
I have decided to put some older work into the Holiday Bazaar this year, but wanted to make sure I had good pictures of everything just in case I DO sell all my work. I also figured that since I have all these cool new pictures of decent looking old work, why not show it to the world!
But I warn you, this is all work from at least a year and a half ago, so try not to lay such a thick judgment. And if anything looks good, and your interested...LET ME KNOW!Keep in mind, this is not the only stuff I shall have in the show, just the things I did not have good pictures of.
In other news: I finished a Mural at a neighbors house a few weeks ago, it was very nice looking, and great experience. I will try to get pictures up here soon. Also, the very weekend i finished that mural, my friend Ashley Walker called me and told me she would like for to work with her on a mural at St. Jude. So thats what i'm doing right now. Hopefully after this mural is done, the company she works for will ask me to come back and work on more murals for them. I am most hopeful.
Go to the HOLIDAY BAZAAR!!! Nov. 16th and 17th! BUY STUFF!

HORN ISLAND WORK(my first update from my new laptop)
After another long fun summer, it is time once again for the horn island show. This year I tried to do a nice verity of work, including water colors, an acrylic painting and a drawing using a technique I'm developing. Over all I'm very happy with my work. I'm also happy its done with because I've got some freelance stuff to get busy with.
In other news, I got my new laptop!
Also....I apologize for the glare.

the girls with stalves
I recently gave myself a project where I would draw a series of characters that revolved around a Central theme, but try to give the characters themselves plenty of verity. This would help my develop of ability to design and draw original looking people. I wanted to focus on Different body types, facial structures, and how postures a facial expressions would portray personality. my theme sorta ended up being Girls with Staffs. Not the most original theme, but it just sorta happened. But I am very happy with what I have done so far, I think they are some of the best looking original characters I have drawn yet, and the watercolor isn't bad either.
As always, I would love any feed back. I want to know what you think! So Please leave many comments. Thanks!
(P.S. This last girl will soon be colored and uploaded soon)

Horn Island
I recently got back from my favorite yearly trip to Horn Island. What Horn island trip you ask?
Well, My school takes a camping trip out to this island off the coast of Biloxi, MS every year. Horn island is a wild life preserve, so there is basically to signs of man there(expect for what washes up on shore). We all take our camping gear and camp right on the beach for 8 days where we get to do basically what ever we want. Days are spent trying to keep cool, going on hikes, taking many pictures and of course working on a sketchbook. This trip has been a great way for my to develop my sketchbook skills and to get a taste of working on travel guides and adventure art, which is what i would love to do for a living.
So i have here for you today a few tastes of my horn island sketchbook, and as always i would love any feed back. I know I don't update enough, but I am trying to slowly become more involved with blogger and try to make some new contacts.
so without further adieu...
Now I shall spend muc time this summer developing sketches and produsing some work to go up in the Horn Island show that will be held at MCA at the end of the summer. Everyone should GO. More details later.

Fist-a-cuffs for the Kitty Goddess?
I'v recently taken some intrest is the Fist-a-cuffs illustration blog. cody braught it to my attention and he and his friend derrik just entered into a tag team match. So I have started designing a character to enter when the tag team tournament is done. Here is the first little design I have.
I shall definatly be doing more sketches in some different mediums with different posses, but the main concept i have so far is some sort of Mutated 50's homemaking wife/mother. I was thinking the mutation could have to do with some sort of cooking thing? Like the lobster claw. I would love any suggestions or ideas! Thanks!

finally something new
I know, its been forever since I last updated with any new work. Life outside of Art school is hard stuff. I work so much that i dont have much time to work on my own stuff, and when I do, its hard to get motivated to start something. But i got an Idea for an original character and did a nice water color painting about it.its my Geisha spy! I got the idea after playing a video game dealing with spy's and agents and thought it would be cool if there were a geisha who was really a spy for America or just the allied forces during WWII who used to skills as a Geisha to get info from government officals while she entertained them. But since no Geisha gets invited to every party, sho would need some ninja/spy training so should could get even more info.
It was really nice to be working on some stuff, and I think my little artist block is over and that I shall get back into the habbit of ding regular work. I soon hope to visit the closed buddhist temple with the lotas pond soon to see the lotas blossems in bloom. More to come!
